LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said on the air of RTVI that the political career of the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, can actually be considered complete.
“I think it is already difficult to count on a repetition of his political career,” Zhirinovsky said and added that Furgal himself most likely would not want to return to politics because of fears for his health in case of further investigations.
Recall that Furgal was detained in July last year, when he was still serving as governor. He was accused of involvement in the activities of a criminal group and organizing murders in the 2000s. Currently, Furgal is in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center and does not plead guilty.
