Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev said that he did not allow regional officials to fly business class on business trips. On Saturday, August 8, he wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“I was surprised to learn that some media outlets are discussing a non-existent decision about flights of Khabarovsk officials in business class,” the message says.

Degtyarev stressed that on August 5, he signed a decree stating that officials should fly in economy class.

Earlier, on the official portal of legal information of the region, a project was published, according to which members of the regional government are compensated for the costs of travel through the country in an amount confirmed by travel documents, but it cannot exceed the cost of a business class flight.

The project also proposes to reimburse the cost of travel by sea and river transport in a luxury cabin, and in railway transport – in a luxury carriage.

On August 5, Degtyarev, in a conversation with reporters, said that he did not intend to raise his wages.

He noted that he will leave it the same as that of the previous head of the region, Sergei Furgal, as he considers it “unethical” to raise it.
