In 2020, the government of the Russian Federation will send more than 280 million rubles to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District to provide benefits to residents for paying for utilities. The corresponding order was published on July 29 on the website of the Cabinet.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the redistribution of subventions to benefits for housing and utility payments. According to the order dated July 25, 2020, more than nine billion rubles will be redistributed between the regions of Russia.
The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will receive 280.3 million rubles from the government in 2020. This money will go to benefits for the payment of “communal services” for certain categories of the population from among veterans, disabled people, as well as citizens affected by radiation or man-made disasters. They pay 50% of the cost of housing and communal services. The rest is borne by the state, the regional expenses for these purposes are reimbursed from the federal budget.
It is clarified that in 30 constituent entities of the Russian Federation there was an additional need for subventions, so a decision was made to redistribute funds. In total, more than 106 billion rubles are provided for these purposes in 2020.
