The management of the state concern Ukroboronprom will soon be replaced. This was announced on August 12 during a round table by Oleg Urusky, Deputy Prime Minister for Strategic Industries. The event was broadcast by the Ukrinform agency.
“As far as I know, the management of the concern should be changed in the near future. This will be followed, respectively, by a change in the entire team that worked there for the last year, ”he said.
Urusky noted that the concern cannot exist in the form in which it is now, therefore, it needs a significant transformation, including the replacement of management. He admitted that the name of the state concern will be changed and it will become a state management company.
According to the General Director for Transformation Roman Bondar, within the framework of the reform, Ukroboronprom will be liquidated, and within two years, six branch holdings will be created around the progressive enterprises of the concern.
In November 2019, the Opposition Platform – For Life party demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismiss Aivaras Abromavichus, Director General of the Ukroboronprom State Concern. The opposition accused Abromavicius of giving US military specialists access to Ukrainian defense enterprises.
