US Announces Hezbollah Funding Information Award

The US State Department has announced that it will provide a reward of up to $ 10 million for information on the financing of the Lebanese Shiite party Hezbollah.

As reported on the website of the department, the money will be paid within the special program of the department “Remuneration for Justice”. Moreover, the recipients can remain anonymous.

The US State Department has named three possible key Hezbollah intermediaries and sponsors. According to Washington, they are Muhammad Qasim al-Buzzal, Muhammad Qasir and Ali Qasir. The US Treasury has declared them to be especially dangerous international terrorists.

In addition, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department (OFAC) previously imposed sanctions against two representatives of the party’s central council, and also adopted sanctions against representatives of the party’s leadership, Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Iraj Masjedi and three organizations associated with elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces.
