As a result of a fire in a five-story building in Yekaterinburg, two people were injured, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Sverdlovsk region reported on March 6.

Information about the fire on the first floor of a residential building on Metallurgov Street entered the service at about 22:32 (20:32 Moscow time), according to the department’s website. The area of ​​the fire was 20 sq. m.

“The units of the gas and smoke protection service with the help of rescue devices rescued 23 people, including three children, one of them, belonging to the low-mobility group of the population, along the flights of stairs. There are victims, ”the message says.

It is noted that at 00:40 on March 7 (22:40 on March 6 Moscow time), the pouring and dismantling of the structures were completed.

The reasons and circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

On March 4, a fire broke out in an apartment in a residential building on Krasnykh Zor Street in western Moscow, killing one person.
