The organizers of the music festival “Music on the Water” in the Arboretum in Pskov told the details of its holding. Thus, it became known that three outdoor concerts will be held on the floating stage next to the Mirozh Monastery.

According to the director of the Pskov Regional Philharmonic, Elizaveta Baryshnikova, quoted by the Pskov Information Agency, this will be the most comfortable venue for Friday and Saturday evenings.

The festival is organized in the best open-air traditions. Classical music will sound, and guests will be seated on poufs. A total of 200 poufs will be installed. Guests are also encouraged to bring blankets with them in case there are not enough poufs for everyone.

Thematic concerts will take place from 21 August to 12 September. The opening concert “Baroque” will take place on the first day of the festival. The concert “European Classics” is scheduled for August 22, and the closing concert “Russian Music” will take place on September 12.

Participants of the festival are the Governor’s Symphony Orchestra of the Pskov Region, the best soloists-instrumentalists of the country and soloists of the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theater.

In mid-June it was reported that the Pskov Regional College of Arts named after Rimsky-Korsakov would buy an electronic organ. Denis Makhankov, a well-known organist, head of the Organ Concerts in Pechory charitable project and laureate of the Pskov Oblast Administration Prize, turned to Governor Mikhail Vedernikov for the purchase. The regional government supported the idea.
