The number of people infected with coronavirus per day in Turkey continues to grow slightly. This is evidenced by the data cited by the Minister of Health of Turkey Fahrettin Koca on August 7.

“The growth in the number of new patients continues. The number of recovering patients, like yesterday, is less than the number of new patients, ” Twitter Koca.

He also said that citizens must be vigilant until the number of new cases of coronavirus infection can be reduced.

Over the past 24 hours, according to the heads of the Turkish Ministry of Health, 56,726 tests have been done – their number is growing, 1185 cases of COVID-19 have been identified. The total number of deaths is 5813 people (15 of them in the last day). He noted that 221,574 people have recovered, over the past day – 1028 patients.

Earlier, on August 5, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) denied the outbreak of coronavirus in Turkish resorts. The day before, 1,083 new cases of COVID-19 were registered there. The association added that starting from the second decade of July, in general, the schedule of new cases of COVID-19 in Turkey is very “even”. According to ATOR, the average daily detection of cases has been at the level of about 1,000 for almost a month.

On August 5, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Health, Fahrettin Koca, said that after the opening of the borders with Russia in Turkish resorts, the number of detected cases of COVID-19 increased sharply. According to him, Turkey should make efforts to prevent an increase in the number of infected.
