Major US tech companies that own social media are making a “catastrophic mistake” and are dangerous, US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, January 12, before flying to Texas. His speech was broadcast by The Independent on its YouTube channel.
“I think big tech companies are doing something terrible for our country <...>. I believe this would be a disastrous mistake for them. They separate <...>, they demonstrate what I have predicted for a long time, ”said the head of the American state.
He also called for avoiding violence.
Earlier, on January 8, Twitter deleted Trump’s account. The pages of the current American leader Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitch were also blocked.
The restrictions on the work of the American leader’s Twitter account began after a publication in which he called for calm amid protests in Washington, and after that he recorded a video message calling on supporters to disperse. The social network has blocked the function of retweeting the post with a video message, explaining this “risk of violence.”
