The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate issued more than 2.4 thousand decisions for unfastening a seat belt and talking on the phone while driving, all these violations were recorded by photo cameras from December 1 to 16 this year. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow.

It is clarified that 2.3 thousand fines were issued for not wearing a seat belt and 100 fines for using the phone.

The head office also noted that the use of such photo-video recording complexes began on December 1 of this year, now there are only eight of them operating in Moscow.

“At present, the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is considering one complaint against a resolution on an administrative offense under Art. 12.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules for using seat belts or motorcycle helmets”), ”the head of the traffic police said.

Earlier it was reported that cameras on metropolitan roads will record the use of a mobile phone by a driver without a headset and an unfastened seat belt while driving. The complexes began operating in test mode in February of this year, but no fines were imposed for this period.
