The second “Quantorium” will open in Kaluga on the basis of the 25th school

Until the end of this year, a children’s technopark “Quantorium” will be opened on the basis of secondary school No. 25 in Kaluga. On Friday, January 22, the site was visited by the mayor Dmitry Denisov, the head of the education department Olga Lytkina and the deputy of the city duma Mikhail Vasilyev, the press service of the city government reports.

As explained by Denisov, children will be additionally trained here in the areas in demand, first of all, technical disciplines related to robotics, modern technologies. All this will be organized on the basis of specialized classes – chemistry, physics, biology.

Despite the fact that “Quantorium” is being created in Kaluga with funds from the national project “Education”, the city will take part in this by allocating money for the purchase of additional equipment and furniture. It is planned to renovate the school premises and open a swimming pool. In the daytime, schoolchildren will study here, and in the evening, by subscription, adults.

This is the second such institution in the regional center, the first appeared on Saltykov-Shchedrin Street. Now children are taught here according to programs of technical, social and humanitarian, natural science, art and tourism and local history.
