The concert with the participation of musicians Vladimir Presnyakov, Leonid Agutin, Grigory Leps, Stas Piekha, Tina Karol, Kar-Men, Kraski, Boney M and other artists, which was supposed to take place on August 8 in Grodno, has been postponed, new dates are still unknown. This was announced on Friday, August 7, by a representative of Presnyakova to RIA Novosti.
“The organizers of the concert, which was scheduled for August 8 in the city of Grodno with the participation of Vladimir Presnyakov and other Russian artists, have been postponed. We do not know new dates yet, we are waiting. They must be informed, ”the agency quoted her as saying.
It is noted that the event was canceled at the initiative of the Belarusian organizers.
The spokesperson stressed that the singer is an apolitical person, which is “exclusively driven by music”. The singer wishes “the Belarusian land good and prosperity,” she added.
Earlier on the same day, it was reported that Piekha, Agutin and the Kar-Men group announced their refusal to participate in concerts, which were supposed to take place in Belarus the day before the presidential elections.
The presidential elections will be held in Belarus on August 9. The Central Election Commission registered five people as candidates – Andrey Dmitriev, Anna Kanopatskaya, Alexander Lukashenko, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Sergei Cherechenya. Two applicants, Viktor Babariko and Valery Tsepkalo, were refused registration.
If he wins, this will be the sixth term for Lukashenka.
