The head physician of the Omsk polyclinic №2 Alexander Akhramovich has been appointed the new Deputy Minister of Health of the Omsk Region. This is stated in a message published on October 28 on the website of the regional government.

“From October 29, Aleksandr Akhramovich will take over as Deputy Minister of Health. By the decision of Governor Alexander Burkov, the leadership of a socially significant department has been strengthened. Alexander Akhramovich will oversee the organization and provision of medical care to the adult population of the region, including primary health care, specialized and emergency medical care, ”the statement says.

Previously, this direction was supervised by Anastasia Malova. However, after the scandal with the hospitalization of patients in Omsk, she was removed from her post until the end of the official investigation of the incident.

We are talking about the situation that happened in Omsk the day before. Ambulance staff drove two patients with suspected coronavirus around the city for 10 hours, due to the fact that they could not be admitted to any of the city’s hospitals.

The patients were in serious condition and could not breathe on their own. According to preliminary data, in one of them, lung damage is 70–80%. Four oxygen tanks were required to support them with oxygen.

As a result, without waiting for a response from medical institutions, ambulances brought patients to the building of the regional Ministry of Health. Later, the patients were nevertheless hospitalized in the hospital of emergency hospital No. 2, and the Ministry of Health of the Omsk region began an official investigation into the incident.

For a thorough check of the incident, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health of Russia Yevgeny Kamkin and the Deputy Head of Roszdravnadzor Dmitry Pavlyukov were sent to Omsk.
