An exhibition “Tchaikovsky’s Theater” (0+) from the State Memorial and Architectural Complex “Museum-Estate of P.I. Tchaikovsky ”from Votkinsk.
“As a result of the exchange, the queue to Udmurtia went to a traveling exhibition dedicated to the master of photography Sergei Lobovikov from the funds of the Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore,” the regional Ministry of Culture said.
The exhibition is very multifaceted: there are sketches of scenery and costumes for performances that took place on the stages of leading theaters, and the costumes themselves. A unique exhibit is a photocopy of the birth book from the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kamsko-Votkinsk plant for 1840 with the birth record of P.I. Tchaikovsky in the Vyatka province. Visitors will also see the costumes in which the opera and ballet soloists shone on the stages of the leading Russian theaters. All models presented at the exhibition are originals.
The exhibition was successfully complemented by exhibits from the funds of the local history museum. Thanks to this, the viewer will be able to imagine himself in the artist’s dressing room, and also learn how women from Kirov dressed up for going to the theater in the middle of the twentieth century.
