Former judge Alexander Melikov, who specialized in road traffic accidents, believes that the emergence of the version of “aliens driving” may seriously affect the term of the sentence for actor Mikhail Efremov. He expressed his opinion in a commentary to the specialized edition Legal.Report.
According to the lawyer, in the event of a full admission of guilt and remorse, the artist “could be released in 1.5-2.5 years.” Melikov noted that after the incident, Efremov “repented of the road accident throughout the country,” which in his case became “the only possible tactic.” The lawyer believes that such a decision would allow the actor to receive a shorter sentence, save face and continue his acting career after his release.
“But the lawyer (Elman) Pashayev entered the case – and it began,” the former judge clarified, adding that versions of almost aliens driving were included in the case. He believes that the development of the case in this direction would lead to the fact that the artist would be sentenced to ten years in prison in a general regime colony.
