The Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako dismissed the head of the administrative-territorial administration (ATU) of Russky Island for failing to take measures to help the population during the elimination of the consequences of an emergency, according to the website of the regional government on Friday, November 27.
According to Kozhemyako, the head of ATU showed an irresponsible attitude to her duties. The deputy head of Vladivostok will ensure that people receive the necessary assistance.
“By the decision of the Committee for Emergency Situations for failure to take measures to provide assistance to the population, remove the head of the administrative-territorial department from work. Make sure that she will be held accountable, ”Kozhemyako said to the head of Vladivostok, Oleg Gumenyuk.
TASS clarifies that the head of the administrative-territorial department of the Frunzensky district, which includes the Russky Island, Irina Pan, has been removed from work. Instead, the necessary support to the victims is provided by the deputy head of the Vladivostok administration, Maxim Akulshin.
Earlier it was reported that Kozhemyako arrived on the Russky Island. According to the head of the region, the situation with the resumption of electricity supply in these territories is the most difficult in Vladivostok.
He also said that the headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the cyclone, which is deployed on the island, will work around the clock.
On November 20, an emergency regime was introduced in Primorye due to the consequences of a cyclone with freezing rain and strong winds that hit the region. More than 660 people applied to the trauma centers of Vladivostok and Artem after the “ice storm”.
