Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer made a statement that the police are looking for terrorists in Vienna.
“We are dealing with a terrorist attack that continues. (…) Residents are still asked not to go out into the streets and avoid crowded places, we are still pursuing terrorists,” the head of the security department said on the air of the ORF TV channel.
He pointed out that, according to the investigation, there are several terrorists, they remain armed and pose a threat to people’s lives.
In Vienna, the night before the central synagogue was opened fire from military weapons, the authorities called it a terrorist attack. Later, fire was opened in 5 more places of the city.
Cafes and bars that were open on the last day before closing in connection with the restrictive measures in the pandemic came under fire.
