The Russian government has approved the allocation of funds for incentive payments to doctors, military personnel and social workers involved in the fight against coronavirus. This is stated on the website of the Cabinet on Saturday, August 29.

The funds will be allocated from the reserve fund of the government of the country to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and federal executive bodies, as well as the Lomonosov Moscow State University to make payments for special working conditions, additional workload and complexity of tasks performed in the framework of the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection in Russia …

The corresponding decisions were made at a meeting of the Cabinet on August 27. As Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, another 22 billion rubles will be allocated to make payments to doctors. In addition, more than 320 million rubles will be allocated to medical workers of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia.

Mishustin urged to speed up the transfer of these funds to the regions so that people receive money as soon as possible.

On August 26, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to extend incentive payments to doctors for the fight against COVID-19 until September. Earlier, the head of state instructed the government to send funds to medical organizations until September 10 to cover the costs associated with the coronavirus epidemic.

According to the order of Vladimir Putin, from April to June, doctors who work with patients with coronavirus received a special federal payment. Payments for doctors amounted to 80 thousand rubles, paramedics and nurses – 50 thousand rubles, junior medical staff – 25 thousand rubles, ambulance doctors – 50 thousand rubles, and paramedics, nurses and drivers – 25 thousand rubles. The president later extended this payment order for July and August.
