Dmitry Mazurov, the former owner of the New Stream group of companies and the Tyumen Antipinsky Oil Refinery, was convicted by a court in the British Virgin Islands.

According to the investigation, Mazurov owes the trader VTB Commodities Trading Designated Activity Company 69,627,957 euros on the basis of a guarantee agreement under English law. The convict issued this guarantee to secure the obligations of the Antipinsky Oil Refinery. But the enterprise did not fulfill its obligations.

A subsidiary of VTB initiated proceedings in the London International Arbitration Court and the Supreme Court of the British Virgin Islands.

The court ruled that the Russian must disclose information about all his assets and transfer them to his creditor.

The businessman did not do this and received 18 months for contempt of justice, ”writes Kommersant.

Dmitry Mazurov is accused of particularly large-scale fraud and embezzlement in connection with the theft by Antipinsky Oil Refinery of a loan of $ 29 million and the withdrawal from the enterprise of almost 500 million rubles. The businessman denies these charges.
