A block of lasers created by Russian specialists for spacecraft that can display advertisements from space has been tested in the stratosphere. This was announced on Thursday, September 10, by the developer of the device, Avant Space.
According to her, the laser unit was launched to an altitude of about 30 km into the stratosphere in order to confirm the design power level of the light source in conditions close to space, TASS reports.
It is noted that as a result of the experiment, all calculations were confirmed.
In November last year, it was reported that a spacecraft was being created in Russia to burn debris in orbit using the sun’s rays. The project provides for the installation of transformable mirrors on the satellite, which will focus the sun’s rays on the target.
