For ten days Sochi received, according to official data, more than 270 thousand vacationers, a third of whom are minors. About 150 thousand people spent their weekends in the mountains. Hotels were 80% busy.
The administration of the resort also said that a check is being carried out on the facts of illegal concerts at ski resorts. The press service of Sochi recalled that fines worth almost a million rubles have already been issued for violation of the high alert regime.
Despite the large influx of tourists that broke Olympic records, reserves in covid hospitals were not needed, and the recently opened observatory remained empty. According to the authorities, the sanitary and epidemiological situation remained stable, and there were no major accidents on the utility networks.
