The border department of the FSB of Russia in the Smolensk region opened a criminal case against a foreign citizen who illegally crossed the state border of Russia.
Near the settlement of Bolshiye Khutora in the Khislavichi district, the officers of the Border Directorate stopped a car carrying a 37-year-old foreign citizen.
It turned out that the person detained in 2013 for committing a crime was convicted on the territory of Russia and after serving his sentence in a correctional institution, an order was issued against him that his stay in the Russian Federation was undesirable. A foreign citizen was deported from the territory of the country with a ban on entry into it until 2023.
but at the same time the foreigner tried to enter the territory of Russia.
A criminal case was initiated under the article “Illegal Crossing of the State Border of the Russian Federation”. Now he faces a fine of up to 300,000 rubles, or forced labor for up to 4 years, or the same term in prison.
In total, over the past weekend, officers of the Frontier Directorate of the FSB of Russia in the Smolensk Region detained more than 90 violators of the regime of the state border of the Russian Federation. The amount of fines imposed exceeded 150,000 rubles.
