Rescuers evacuated 32 people in a fire in Veliky Novgorod. This was announced on Monday, January 18, at the press service of the regional State Administration for Emergencies.
“There are no casualties or injuries. Two people were rescued, 32 were evacuated, ”the message says.
The fire occurred in a hostel on Shchusev Street. The fire was reported to emergency services at 14:59. Two tank trucks of the special unit, one tank truck and one ladder of the fire and rescue unit 4 and the fire extinguishing service drove to the site. By the time the firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke in the dormitory building.
The fire was extinguished at 15:19. It was found that the fire occurred in the shared kitchen of the hostel.
Earlier that day, it became known that four people died in a fire in Petrozavodsk. The child, found alive, could not be reanimated. Three more victims are in the hospital. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the incident.
