Acting Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha was registered as a candidate for the election of the head of the region. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel on July 29.
“All legal procedures have been successfully completed. From now on, I am a registered candidate for the post of governor of the Kaluga region, ”he wrote.
Shapsha added that he will continue to carry out his direct duties. “I visit districts, enterprises, control the implementation of projects important for our region,” he said.
On February 14, it was reported that Vladislav Shapsha was appointed as an interim governor after the departure of the governor of the Kaluga region, Anatoly Artamonov – he announced his transfer to the Federation Council.
Prior to that, Shapsha served as the head of Obninsk.
The election of the head of the region is scheduled for September 13, 2020. During September 11-12, according to the CEC resolution, early voting will take place.
