A three-year-old suffered severe burns on Friday when he fell into a hot spring in Yellowstone Park in the United States.
According to a publication from this national park located in the north-west of the country, the incident would have occurred in the late morning near the Midway Geyser Basin, one of the main attractions of the place.
The toddler would have run on the trail, slipped and then fell into a small hot spring.
Severely burned to the lower body and back, he was transported by helicopter to a burn center in the region. Those days would not be in danger, however.
An investigation is still underway in this story, specify the park authorities.
The latter also remind visitors to be vigilant when walking on the various trails.
“The spring soil is fragile and the boiling water is just below.”
It is not uncommon for visitors to sustain serious injuries while walking through the park.
In June 2016, a man had even died after falling into the Norris Geyser Basin, a major hot spring.
