German scientists have established a close connection between nutrition and skin aging processes. Research has shown that vitamin A is the best ingredient for maintaining the tone of this organ.
MedicForum informs: specialists of the Dessau Medical Center have found out that vitamin A has a beneficial effect on skin cells. Thanks to this component, the protection of cells from ultraviolet rays is enhanced, and, accordingly, the skin ages more slowly.
Also, vitamin A strengthens the human immune system, improves the functioning of the lungs, heart and kidneys. Yellow fruits, leafy vegetables, some dairy products, fatty fish and liver pate are rich in beneficial substances.
Scientists note that vitamin intake should be moderate. An overdose can affect the health of many organs, including the liver and bones. The optimal dose is 1500 mcg per day.
