High school students of Mari El will take part in the semifinals of the All-Russian competition for schoolchildren “Big Break”.
The competition helps children discover their talents and express themselves. In 2020, it is held for the first time with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The distance stage was attended by 1617 ripples from our republic.
In September, 25 semifinalists will visit Nizhny Novgorod for the face-to-face stage of the competition. The first delegation of nine people left for Nizhny today.
The award for the finalists is impressive. According to the information of the Republican Ministry of Education and Science, 300 tenth-graders winners will receive a million rubles each, which can be invested in education, a mortgage or a business startup. 300 winners from eighth and ninth grades will receive 200 thousand rubles – they can be used for additional education and the purchase of educational gadgets.
The finalists will also go to Artek, and the 20 schools whose students perform best will be entitled to two million rubles to create educational opportunities and technical equipment.
