On the American segment of the International Space Station (ISS), there was a decrease in pressure, there is no talk of depressurization, it was reported on Thursday, August 20, to Izvestia in Roskosmos.

“There is no depressurization. Typically, the pressure at the station is normal, but for some reason it can drop. The problem will be eliminated as soon as the reason is found, ”the source said.

It is also noted that “the American astronauts will spend the weekend in the Russian segment.”

“You can be sure that there will be enough space for everyone,” the department added.

At the same time, earlier on Thursday, TASS, citing sources, reported that the crew recorded an air leak on the Russian segment of the station.

Currently, Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner, as well as American astronaut Christopher Cassidy, are working on the ISS.

The day before, the Nauka module for the ISS was delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome. The launch is scheduled for spring 2021. The sending of the module was announced on August 11. It was supposed to take place a few days earlier, but was postponed due to the agreement with Russian Railways on the conditions of transportation.
