Several hours earlier, it was reported that Maria Moroz, the head of Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters, had been detained again.

The presidential elections in Belarus will be held on August 9. The Central Election Commission registered five people as candidates – Andrey Dmitriev, Anna Kanopatskaya, Alexander Lukashenko, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Sergei Cherechenya. Two applicants, Viktor Babariko and Valery Tsepkalo, were refused registration.
