A resident of the Ketchenerovskiy district of Kalmykia was sentenced to 13 years in prison with serving a sentence in a penal colony of strict regime with restriction of liberty for a term of 1 year.
The investigation and the court established that on April 8, 2019, a 41-year-old resident of the Ketchenery village of the Ketchenerovsky district, being in the household on Geologorazvedchikov street in the Troitskoye village of the Tselinny district, inflicted multiple blows with a piercing-cutting object to the victim, who died at the scene. And in order to hide the crime, the man decided to get rid of an eyewitness to the incident. He also struck him with a piercing-cutting object in the area of ​​vital organs. However, the witness survived thanks to timely medical assistance.
The Tselinny District Court, having assessed the evidence collected by the investigators in this criminal case, sentenced the defendant to imprisonment for a period of 13 years in a strict regime correctional colony with restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year.
