Central district hospitals of the Omsk region received 32 new cars. Governor Alexander Burkov handed over the keys to the equipment to doctors on Friday, January 22.

The medical institutions received 18 UAZ Patriot SUVs, six Lada Granta cars and eight VAZ-2121 cars. The cost of the equipment was 25.5 million rubles, the funds were allocated from the federal budget, writes IA “OMSKREGION”.

The renewal of the fleet of hospitals took place within the framework of the regional program “Modernization of the primary health care system in the Omsk region” for 2021-2025.

As the head of the region noted, the first large-scale purchase of cars for medical workers took place in 2018. Then 66 cars were transferred.

By the end of 2021, another 97 vehicles are expected to arrive for primary health care workers. They will be distributed between city and district polyclinics, the governor said.

On January 21, it was reported that sets of equipment necessary for online communication (video camera, speakers, microphone) were delivered to 31 rural feldsher-obstetric centers of the Omsk region. Now rural doctors will be able to use all the new options, as well as keep in touch with colleagues from regional specialized institutions
