Pemex has stopped the work of the refinery in the southeast of Mexico due to an emergency

State-owned oil and gas company Pemex announced the failure of a petrochemical complex located in southeastern Mexico, in the state of Veracruz, as well as the injuries as a result of the incident. The company announced this on Wednesday, April 21, on its account in Twitter

It is noted that Pemex is already taking the necessary security measures.

“The Morelos petrochemical complex has been decommissioned due to a power failure in the area of ​​the turbine generators,” the company said in a statement.

Also did intelligence about four victims of a malfunction of the complex. The people recorded injuries from water vapor, all of them were sent to the local Minatitlan hospital.

On April 8, it became known about several explosions that thundered at the Lazaro Cadenas del Rio oil refinery, located in the southeast of Mexico, due to a fire at the diesel and gasoline shipment site. This refinery is owned by the state-owned refinery Pemex.

As a result of the fire at the facility, seven people were injured. One, a worker, received burns, the second was poisoned by combustion products, and five more firefighters were injured during the elimination of the fire.
