According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), over the past day in Germany, the number of newly infected people has increased by 21 695, which is slightly less than yesterday (22 806). In addition, 400 deaths were recorded in 24 hours. Currently, 3,854 patients with Covid-19 are being treated in the intensive care unit.

Sometimes there are delays in the display of data for individual federal states. In addition, not all authorities release their data on weekends, so actual numbers may be higher.

As of Saturday, November 28, 1,028,089 cases of infection have been recorded in the country since the beginning of the collection of official statistical information on the coronavirus. The total number of deaths from Covid-19 to date is 15,965. The R value over 4 days is approximately 0.82.

It is estimated that there are 301,124 active cases, that is, people currently infected. This figure is not officially recorded by the Robert Koch Institute. However, as in other countries, it is determined by subtracting the number of deaths (15 965) and the estimated 711 000 recovered from all ever infected.

According to the Intensive Care Register, 3,854 people are currently being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units. This represents approximately 13.7 percent of the approximately 28,000 intensive care beds in Germany.
