Military doctors from the Russian Federation examined more than a hundred patients with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan

Russian military doctors continue to provide assistance in the fight against coronavirus infection at a hospital in Bishkek. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about this on Thursday, July 30.

It is noted that since July 22, 12 patients have been discharged from the hospital. In addition, during this time, more than 100 citizens were examined at the medical facility.

Medics of the Ministry of Defense arrived in Kyrgyzstan to help local doctors in treating citizens of the republic on July 22 by an Il-76 plane. In total, 19 specialists were sent to Bishkek, as well as medical equipment, including artificial lung ventilation devices.

Earlier it was reported that in Kyrgyzstan July 30 was declared a day of national mourning for citizens who died from coronavirus.

The first case of coronavirus infection in the country was registered on March 18. The Kyrgyz government introduced a state of emergency in the country from March 22 to April 22. Then the regime was extended in a number of cities and regions.

According to the statistics bureau Worldometer, 34,592 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Kyrgyzstan, while 1,347 patients died, and 22,296 recovered.

The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, began at the end of December last year. The Chinese city of Wuhan became the hotbed of infection. For several months, the disease has spread to more than 210 countries of the world. On March 11, WHO announced a coronavirus pandemic.

According to Worldometer data, as of July 30, over 17.1 million cases of COVID-19 have been registered on the planet, more than 670 thousand people have died, and 10.6 million have recovered.
