Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said US President Donald Trump, during his rallies, calls on extremists to commit crimes, such as conspiracy to kidnap and kill her. She shared her opinion on Sunday on NBC.
Earlier in October, US authorities detained at least 14 people accused of plotting the kidnapping of Whitmer and other officials. According to media reports, the attackers, who are members of two extremist groups, were unhappy with the sanitary measures announced in Michigan due to the spread of the coronavirus.
The governor expressed concern that Trump, 10 days after uncovering a plot to kidnap and execute her, is fueling similar sentiments again.
