Karabakh President arrives at the front line

President of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Arayik Harutyunyan arrived at the front line. He announced this on his Facebook page on Saturday, October 3.

Together with him, in his words, the heads of the national security services of Armenia and NKR arrived.

“I am inspired by the courage and professionalism of our servicemen, the dedication of the volunteers,” wrote Harutyunyan.

The NKR President called on everyone to join the battle for Karabakh, since “the hour has come”.

Earlier that day, Harutyunyan announced that he was going to the confrontation line with the military, as he believed that he would be more useful on the front line than in the rear. He called what was happening in the region the last battle.

Another aggravation in the NKR took place on September 27. Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of shelling.

On Friday, it was reported about air strikes on the capital of the unrecognized republic, Stepanakert. According to the Izvestia correspondent, the city center was attacked by drones, there are casualties among the civilian population.

Russia, France, the United States and the UN called on the parties to a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement.
