The Ministry of Education of the Stavropol Territory is working on the issue of extending the autumn school holidays, which, according to the plan, begin on November 1. The relevant instruction to the relevant ministry was given yesterday by the governor of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov. “The decision will be made in the near future,” the head of the region said on Saturday, October 17, commenting on the current epidemic situation on his Instagram.

The Governor noted that the extension of the autumn school holidays, which they intend to make two weeks, is one of the measures to counter the spread of COVID-19.

Over the past day, 171 new cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus have been laboratory confirmed in the region, and since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of cases has exceeded 18.7 thousand people. 372 people have already become victims of COVID-19 in the Stavropol Territory, of which four patients with a severe course of coronavirus infection have died in the last day.

“The situation still requires a responsible attitude to health from each of us,” the Governor of the Stavropol Territory commented on these figures.
