In the Kaluga Region, due to the pandemic, the number of flu shots will be increased. This was reported on Wednesday, July 29, by the head of the region Vladislav Shapsha on his page on social networks.

“Today I took part in a meeting, which was chaired by videoconference by Vladimir Putin. It was about the sanitary and epidemiological situation and the readiness of the health care system for the autumn-winter period,” the message says.

After the meeting, Vladislav Shapsha made several assignments. They concerned an increase in the number of Kaluga residents vaccinated against influenza. According to the head of the region, this will help to reduce the number of patients in the autumn-winter period.

“I instructed the vaccination campaign to be organized in such a way as to cover the largest possible number of Kaluga residents. At the same time, it is important that everything is as convenient and safe for people as possible,” adds Shapsha.

Currently, the situation with coronavirus infection in the Kaluga region is normalizing. Fewer and fewer cases of a dangerous disease are being registered. For community-acquired pneumonia, the daily incidence rate is almost 10 times lower than the average long-term values.
