Amendments to the list of public services that allow registering a car at multifunctional centers (MFC) entered into force on Saturday, August 29.
This service can only be used in centers that have the infrastructure necessary to service motorists. This will simplify the state registration procedure, save time for vehicle owners and expand the range of services provided at the MFC, RIA Novosti reports.
“These amendments come into force seven days after the day of the official publication of the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, that is, on August 29, 2020,” the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Federation reported.
According to the department, the amendments provide for the possibility of placing employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate on the territory of the MFC, as well as the procedure for the applicant’s interaction with traffic police inspectors when registering a car.
It is specified that the MFC employees will deal with the acceptance and issuance of documents and state registration plates. All other administrative procedures related to vehicle inspection, verification activities, registration documents, assignment of registration numbers, as before, will remain in the competence of the State Traffic Inspectorate.
Earlier, on August 21, it was reported that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the registration of vehicles at the MFC. The service will be available on the day of contact within the time frame established by the relevant administrative regulations.
