Over the past day, 5,212 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia in 84 regions of the country. This was announced on Saturday, August 8, at the operational headquarters to combat the spread of infection.
The largest number of new cases was detected in Moscow (691), the Sverdlovsk region (178) and the Moscow region (161).
129 deaths were recorded. During the day in Russia, 6615 people have fully recovered.
In total, to date, 882,347 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 85 regions. Over the entire period, 14 854 deaths were recorded, 690 207 people recovered.
As it became known earlier, on August 7, more than 30 million tests for coronavirus were carried out in Russia. 246 322 people remain under medical supervision. On August 4, Rospotrebnadzor reported that three volunteers who received the vaccine for COVID-19 made by Vector had no complications and were doing well.
