In the city of Obninsk, Kaluga region, a criminal case was sent to the court against a 55-year-old former director of a local enterprise. The man is accused of non-payment of salaries to employees (part 2 of article 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported on Tuesday by the ICR SU for the region.
According to the investigation, from January to June 2018, the director of the company did not pay salaries to 25 employees. The amount of debt exceeded 2 million rubles. At the same time, there was enough money on the company’s accounts, but they were directed to other needs.
In June of the same year, a criminal case was opened on this fact, but the director did not have time to bring charges – he fled. As a result, he was detained only in October 2020 on the territory of the city of Poltava, Ukraine.
The businessman has been handed over to the Russian side and is awaiting trial in a pre-trial detention center. During the investigation, his property was sold in order to cover debts to employees.
