The Kaliningrad authorities plan to completely close cafes and restaurants from December 31 to January 3, as well as restrict their work during the New Year holidays from 06.00 to 19.00, the press service of the regional government said on Tuesday, December 15.

It is noted that takeout service or home delivery is possible. From December 25, the activity of catering establishments located in shopping centers and without a separate entrance is prohibited. Until January 10, the restriction on the operation of food courts also continues to apply.

Earlier it was reported that the restrictive measures that are planned to be introduced in the Kaliningrad region for the New Year holidays will be adjusted after coordination with the business community. According to the draft resolution, from December 28 to January 10, the operation of shopping centers and complexes will be allowed from 6 to 19 hours.

It became known on Monday that the authorities of the Kaliningrad region have introduced additional restrictive measures in the region to combat coronavirus. The restrictions will come into effect on December 28 and will remain in effect until January 17.

In particular, the work of fitness centers, sports facilities, cinemas, theaters, museums and houses of culture will be limited. The authorities will not accept citizens. Banks, MFC and other office establishments will be able to work only with legal entities.
