Investigators initiated a check on reports of non-payment of bonuses for work with coronavirus patients to doctors in Nizhny Novgorod after this information was announced during a press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 17. The press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Nizhny Novgorod region writes about this on Thursday.

“On December 17, on the air of a press conference with the President of Russia, information was heard that the doctors of Nizhny Novgorod, treating patients with COVID, have not received allowances since September 2020,” the ministry said in a statement.

In this regard, a pre-investigation check was organized.

Earlier on the same day, a call center volunteer during a press conference of Putin asked the head of state to sort out the regions where people continue to be treated for coronavirus at their own expense. He also said that a number of doctors who work with patients with COVID-19 have not received payments.

After that, the Ministry of Health of Russia reported on taking control of the situation with payments to doctors in the regions.

In addition, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region began checking reports of non-payment of bonuses to doctors in the city of Kachkanar for work in the “red zone”. The progress and results of the audit were put under control by the leadership of the regional IC of Russia.

On the eve, Russian President Vladimir Putin assessed the payments to doctors for the time of work in the red zone. According to the head of state, in the course of discussions with the professional community, the authorities came to the conclusion that the offset of the working time in the red zone is more fair.

Also on that day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that over 800 thousand doctors who work with COVID-19 patients received payments for November.

In the spring, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to pay the doctors who worked with patients with coronavirus a special federal allowance. They were supposed to receive funds for work from April to June. For doctors, the amount of payment was 80 thousand rubles, for paramedics and nurses – 50 thousand rubles, for junior medical personnel – 25 thousand rubles, for ambulance doctors – 50 thousand rubles, and for paramedics, nurses and drivers – 25 thousand rubles. Later, the president extended this order on payments for July and August, and then for September.
