On August 6, the confessor of the Holy Dormition Monastery in the city of Novomoskovsk, Tula Region, Hegumen Cyprian (Orlov), died. The funeral service and burial of Father Cyprian took place the day before, on August 7, at the end of the Divine Liturgy.
The late Abbot Cyprian (Orlov) served in the monastery from the first days of its foundation, enjoying the love and deserved respect of the parishioners, conscientiously fulfilling the obediences entrusted to him.
Father Cyprian, who, despite a serious illness, did not become discouraged and until the last day remained a conscientious and zealous pastor.
“Father Cyprian, will remain an affable and courteous, affectionate and wise, close and kind friend for everyone who, in a common, now memorial prayer, preserves his memory within the walls of the house of the Most Holy Theotokos, to whom he gave many years of his Christlike life”, – remember the departed flock.
