The head of the Syunik region of Armenia Melikset Poghosyan, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia, commented on the situation on the border with Azerbaijan near the village of Agarak, which is part of the enlarged Kapan community.

Earlier, the media reported that Azerbaijani servicemen opened fire in the direction of Armenian positions near Agarak, allegedly demanding that they leave these positions within 10 hours.

Poghosyan explained that there had been no shelling. But at the same time, the Azerbaijanis, with the help of loudspeakers from their trenches, really demanded that the Armenian side retreat to their previous positions.

At present, the nearby military units are on alert, and they are on increased alert.
