It is noted that the decision is associated with the coronavirus pandemic, which brought many problems to Internet users. The company said up to 21% of Google’s commercial partners have not migrated to Windows 10.
Google explained that a number of planned technology projects could fade into the background for many organizations, so it was decided to extend support for Chrome. It was previously planned to discontinue it for Windows 7 in July 2021, writes NSN.
Microsoft ended support for the Windows 7 operating system in January 2020. Users of this OS do not receive updates, including those related to security, but can continue to use the software product.
