Following Bavaria, the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia announced the immediate introduction of mandatory coronavirus tests for all travelers from risk areas. The tightening of the rules was announced by the Minister of Health of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Karl-Josef Laumann.
The border, for declaring the region a risk zone, is calculated per 100,000 inhabitants over the last 7 days. The allowable value in this case should not exceed 50. Based on this rule, “almost every country in the world” is a risk zone, said Laumann. Therefore, tests are urgently needed. They must be presented to those entering the country by plane, train, car and other vehicles.
Naturally, even during a pandemic, there are trips that cannot be canceled. All the rest, from the point of view of the minister, are absolutely unacceptable, the minister stressed. The introduction of express tests throughout the country, he considers expedient and necessary for both arriving and leaving the country travelers. Airports must provide the opportunity to take a rapid test.
