Georgia announced its readiness to host a meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. This statement was made by President Salome Zurabishvili on the air of Rustavi 2.
“Preconditions for the readiness to engage the OSCE Minsk Group are noted on both sides. I think we should facilitate the holding of the meeting, at least in Georgia. We will do everything and are ready for everything that is acceptable to them, ”the head of state added.
She noted that the aggravation of the conflict threatens stability in the entire region.
Earlier, the press secretary of the president of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Vahram Poghosyan, said that the NKR reserves the right to transfer military actions to the territory of Azerbaijan in order to fight terrorist groups.
“Azerbaijan attracts terrorist groups for the war against Artsakh (self-name of Karabakh – ed.), Their presence was confirmed by various international centers. In this situation, we get the legitimate right to transfer further actions to the entire territory of Azerbaijan in order to clear it of terrorists,” Poghosyan wrote in Facebook.
He stressed that these days Karabakh is “involved in the fight against international terrorism.”
