They were doing the round in front of a bar-tobacco in Brittany, in the west of France, a customer offered them a lottery ticket: four homeless pocketed 50,000 euros, revealed Tuesday the French games (FDJ) .
“They held out their hand near the (bar) Midnight in Brest, a customer leaving the establishment decides to give them his (game)” banco “at 1 euro,” said the FDJ in a press release.
“What a surprise for these four young people when they discover not a gain of 5 euros, but a gain of 50,000 euros! ”
The four homeless, aged about thirty according to the FDJ, shared the gain, or 12,500 euros each.
“They were stunned, but clear in their heads,” the FDJ told AFP. They told the national lottery company that they did not immediately know what they were going to do with the money except, initially, to leave the city of Brest.
