The city will celebrate its 352th anniversary without traditional mass events because of the anti-coronavirus bans in force in the Volgograd region.
The holiday in Kamyshin will be celebrated all weekend, September 12 and 13. Most of the events will be held online, according to the press service of the city administration.
In particular, the festive concert will be broadcast, and the city’s libraries will organize a virtual tour of Kamyshin. Until the end of next week, the project “Kamyshin – 352” will be broadcast on the city’s light screens.
Some events will still be organized outdoors. A brass band will perform in the central city park and an exhibition-fair of applied arts will open.
The opening of the busts to the chairman of the Kamyshin zemstvo council D.A.Olsufiev and the hero of the Patriotic war of 1812 K.F.Kazachkovsky is also expected. The celebration of the City Day will end with a big fireworks display.
